Sometimes, you just need something different. I've had the color red and an Asian motif since before I got married almost 9 years ago. It was time for a change. Every single red and or Asian item in my front rooms were removed excluding my red Kitchen Aid...that's too expensive to replace. My sister Mindy gave us a red sectional when we moved here three years ago. I was already tiring of the red but, you can't say no to a free sofa. So, I took it gratefully and tried to embrace it. I have also had an Asian motif that I had tired of too but, my hang-up was that if I got rid of it then I wouldn't have much left on my walls. I was in a catch-22. Well, feng shui says that you have to make room in your life for something new to come into it. It's very similar to the law of attraction...if you subscribe to that line of thought.
Long story short, I woke-up and it had to go....T-O-D-A-Y. I couldn't take another day of wanting it all gone. Can I tell you, how much better the house feels...it's like a breath of fresh air. Nothing is in it's original spot, except the kitchen table. I needed a physical manifestation of how I've been feeling lately. It's an ahhhh, feeling. It feels good. It feels fresh.
I've made room for something new...lots of room. Bring on the new!
Good Night, I'm spent. Rearranging the whole house can wear a girl out.
p.s. thanks Rob for hauling that red sofa away for me tonight...your my favorite bro-in-law. Everyone else is a close second.

you need to put up pictures of your new room! thank you for the sweet comments, yes i LOVE the uniforms. i dont even need to assist them in getting dressed everyday, they just know what they are supposed to wear. plus it was alot cheaper than school shopping. hope you guys are doing good! your kids are seriously adorable!!
I felt the urge to take a deep breath as I was reading. How fun! I'm sure it does feel a lot better. I can't wait to see pictures.
I have some more work to do then I'll post some pictures. I sowed myself a creme table cloth today with some fabric I bought three years ago. Yesterday, I painted the front door. Everything is lookin' so much better.
I'm enjoying my brown, tan, creme, green and blue palette. It's given me some serenity.
