I started a new project yesterday for Halloween. It's a scalloped skirt for my large mantel in a black, white and orange check fabric. I'm not much of a seamstress. However, I think it's gonna be adorable with my collection of witches. I have a few other ideas I want to "try" before Halloween. So, I need to get busy!

I can't imagine doing four boxes in a row. I only did two. Way to go! The tomatoes are really easy. You just put fill a pot of boiling water with tomatoes. Leave them in until you see their skins start to crack and peel off-not very long, couple minutes tops. Then you put them into cold water-I just filled up my sink half way with water and dumped them in there. I had my jars ready with one teaspoon of salt in each one. Then you just pull the peels off the tomatoes, cut them up how you want, and squish them into the jar. You don't have to add any water or anything. I'm not sure how long you leave them in the water bath-30 minutes I think. And they are done.
That sounds easy enough. I'm gonna have to try it this year.
